Work Groups

nEXT Generation Project Work Groups

The executive sponsors and project steering committee worked together to name work groups and appoint members to serve on them. The steering committee chose from 429 nominations of 300 individuals, including 40 nominations for county government officials and nominations for colleagues representing 61 counties, three tribes and three UW System campuses.

There were 9 work groups for the nEXT Generation project. These work groups were organized in three categories:

  • Programming: Responsible for assessing and recommending changes to the programs that Cooperative Extension delivers to the residents of Wisconsin and the means through which those programs are delivered.
  • Organizational Structure: Responsible for assessing and recommending changes to the positions, organizational structures, and support processes across counties, tribes, multi-county areas, regions, University of Wisconsin campuses, and program areas.
  • Program Development: Responsible for assessing and recommending changes to how programs are planned, developed, delivered, implemented, and evaluated.
