The Inclusive Excellence Action Team, June 2011 through April 2012, played an important part in the effort to implement Cooperative Extension’s Strategic Directions. The Council for Strategic Change charged the team with creating a comprehensive framework that will move Cooperative Extension toward becoming a more diverse and inclusive organization.
The framework communicates Cooperative Extension plans and activities in the area of diversity and inclusion to colleagues, shareholders and partners. It provides a vision for how Cooperative Extension’s educational programming and support functions can be aligned with Cooperative Extension’s value of inclusiveness, civil rights responsibilities and strategic directions. The team also helped prepare Cooperative Extension to respond to the guidelines outlined in the UW-Extension Inclusive Excellence framework.
